Having prevented the Third Impact and thus saving the planet, NERV unexpectedly finds itself under attack. Conscious of Gendou`s betrayal, SEELE launches a massive attack on Tokyo-3 in order to conclude the Human Instrumentality Project at any cost. NERV must now fight its most fearsome opponent: mankind ... More itself.
Note: The end of the Neon Genesis Evangelion left many questions as to the fate of NERV, the Children, the Angels, and many other plot factors unanswered, unexplained, or otherwise hanging. To answer a legion of now befuddled Evangelion fans, Gainax remade the ending into a two-part movie known as Death and Rebirth which was to supersede episodes 25 and 26 of the television series. Ultimately, Rebirth became only the first half of the first episode of The End of Evangelion, with some minor differences. The End of Evangelion picks up where Rebirth left off.
Revival of Evangelion is considered the final form of the Evangelion movies, which had been released in several forms prior to Revival. The Revival release includes Death(True)2 and The End of Evangelion.
Note: The 2003 Renewal of Evangelion is the final remastered version. It includes:
* The original TV series, episodes 1-20
* The Director`s Cut of episodes 21-24 of the original TV series
* Death(True)^2, released on the ninth disc with the label of Revival of Evangelion
* The End of Evangelion, released on the tenth disc, with the label Evangelion – The Feature Film

watched the whole series just to get aboard the hype and was completely blown away by the interesting themes and slow burning style. definitely a movie that i don't know how i should review. i'll probably rewatch it a few times before my final judgment though read

pues esta parte final, mantiene un poco todo lo que ya vimos en la anterior. es decir, ralladas made in japan, solo para muy muy fans del genero. yo no me enteré de casi nada, se desconecta con facilidad. read

utterly harrowing; i had already seen this cinematic conclusion to neon genesis evangelion about a year and a half ago now, but it still pierces my mind with horrific imagery of doomsday, frankly showing the vices and weakness of humanity. whatever stark the exhibition of radical depression is punctuated by a poignant reminder of who we are and our purpose to be together. an extremly dark, chaotic, beautiful experience. read
