My friend has warned me about My Hero Academia becoming darker as it progresses, but I never thought this would be a topic that would be talked about on this show. The story was really interesting and pulled off well, I can totally picture a mafia boss hurting a little kid to sell drugs to both heroes and villains to save his business. I wish the reason why the business fell wasn't as focused as it was, since it can get people to sympathize with Overhaul, but nothing big. No one would sympathize with him anyways. I would've given it a 10 if Eri's backstory wouldve been given more time instead of an old man relating what happened to her or some flashbacks in the ED. The ending's extremely interesting, I wish we could've seen more of it through the season. Also, something that really bothered me was the villain in the last arc. It was boring as hell. Could not care about him a little bit and I just really wanted the fight to be over and see Eri again. It really should have been a nice, peaceful, "rainbow after a storm" type of arc; both the viewer and Deku deserved it.

Meeting the Big 3, Eri, and character development and focus on older characters
Meeting the Big 3 was the most exciting part character wise. We're presented to them at the end of Season 3 as the most talented UA students, talented enough to be pro-heroes, and in this season we can finally see them in action. Except for Nejire, who I hope she gets more focus very soon, the other Big 3 members, Tamaki and Mirio, get their own episode to see their own motivations to be a hero and how they got where they are now. We also get to see them fight quite often and given as much spotlight as any other character who was from the start, even more, and I am glad that's the case. I love the Big 3.
Another new character I want to talk about and has won over my heart is Eri. That kid is amazingly strong. Through the curse of the season she's forced to drop her own happiness to save people, but nearing the end of the show we see her smile for the first time; and god damn it was the most beautiful scene I have watched in a while. Not because of the lighting, sound or stuff like that, but because we all start caring as an audience for Eri's wellbeing so much that the scene hits so hard I wanted to cry so badly.
Lastly, I wanted to talk about the pre-existing characters. I am glad Ochaco got something outside of being Izuku's best friend and the person crushing on him, even if it was little. Ochaco is one of my favorite characters and I can't wait to see more of her in the future, every time we learn or see something new from her it's amazing. Then we have Kirishima. From being solely's Bakugo's friend Kirishima goes this season to have even more screentime than Bakugo and really well deserved! (Not Bakugo's lack of screentime, but Kirishima's increase of it). Eijiro is a lovely boy who will fight no matter how afraid he is, I am happy we met that side of him. We also get to see some of Jiro in the last arc! It was really nice to see everyone praising her from left to right. She deserved this spotlight.
Enjoyment: 8
Amazing season, but pretty overwhelming
So even if I loved this season my own enjoyment is lower than anything here. The reason why was mostly because I got really overwhelmed everytime Eri would appear on the screen. Going through Overhaul's arc was pretty hard for me, but close to the end of the season where we see Eri smile it was the first time in this season, or even in the show, I felt overwhelmed with joy. I can't wait to see season 5, this season was amazing.
Currently hyperfixated in Boku No Hero Academia! My twitter is makideku and my favorite show is Love Live! but I also really love She-Ra, The Good Place, Brooklyn 99 and, of course, My Hero Academia:)
