found footage and exorcism movie genre combo, but with a very welcome twist: unlike the overused amateur footage, this is intended as a professional documentary. hence, most of the footage is movie-quality, and benefits from editing and a lack of inane character antics. also a good thing: the exorcist has lost his faith, but neither he nor anyone on the documentary crew is a frothing unbeliever who "has it coming"; once the action begins, no one is in blind denial of obvious supernatural events, and the explanations offered for the events are very likely until the end. the end, though, is the... read more
