bad boys for life has some absolutely dynamite set pieces. the movie pops off with explosive gusto, wasting no time burning rubber, cracking wise, and dropping bad guys. there's also some genuine emotional gravitas here. this doesn't feel like a film that exists in a video game world of logic with cheat codes on (not too much anyhow). characters hurt, bleed, get old- the looming threats and dangers of the narrative have actual heft to them. the villains aren't just baddies of the week, they matter to our protagonists in a unique way. when it matters, the movie managed to surprise me, over and... read more

It's been 17 years since the "Bad Boys" rode together. Not much has changed, maybe just a bit of weight gain. Anyway this movie is pretty predictable and the storyline a bit lame. The action sequences are done well which should please the fans of that genre. The guys are ok and as expected there are a few laughs but after so long I was expecting a little better. Apparently Bad Boys 4 is already on the cards. read more

Will Smith (Mike) and Martin Lawrence (Marcus) team up for a third and probably final time, hot on the heels of a ruthless Mexican drug-lord out for vengeance on the cops who helped imprison him. The theme that permeates the story-line is very much the likeable bond between its two central characters, Mike who remains focused entirely on his work and Marcus who is now a settled family man resistant to being dragged back into the firing line by his determined partner. *7.5/10For what it is, this movie succeeded pretty well in its goal. To be a funny action movie. The chemistry between Martin Lawrence and Will Smith is still there man. The jump in time to where we find the characters now felt totally smooth and natural. There were definitely some jokes and moments that were intended to hit or make you laugh and not a soul in my theater did, but there were still some big great laughs in there too!Definitely worth the price of admission. Hopefully Will Smith gets a break in after this though, did is a work horse lately. read more
