simon pegg and nick frost's third major feature film together, paul, may more mainstream than people expect. however, this is not to say that it is a letdown in any way. pegg and frost do the same thing they set out to do in shaun of the dead and hot fuzz, which is to satirize a genre while honoring it at the same time. with the help of greg mottola, they do that in a way that works and yet manages to be accessible as well. perhaps the crude humor and f-bombs aren't needed but they don't drag the film down. mottola gets great performances out of a variety of skilled comedic actors and read more
