i would have liked a little more emphasis on the firefighting/forest fire angle instead of the hitman plot. firefighting is exhilarating on screen and not nearly as common as hitman shooting stuff, but we get very little firefighting and a lot of hitmen shooting stuff. jolie is fine, but this really wasn't the star vehicle i was expecting. it isn't her story, it is the kid and hitmen's, she's just along for the ride. i appreciated the "this is just a 9 to 5" approach to the hitmen, but it was kind of abandoned in the third act. jon bernthal and medina senghore were standouts. despite minor... read more

Kept waiting for it to start then it finished. Very short movie and doesn't really go anywhere unpredictable. The fire fighters were useless (parachuting in long after the fire is over, what was that all about) great cast though and very good acting especially from the boy. read more

would've absolutely loved this film if it came out in 2006. however the biggest crime this film committed is having angelina jolie and only using her for a sum of 7 mins of action. read more

starting a film with someone having a bad dream about their trauma should have set my expectations to average or below, but oddly, it's the title that made me expect more. what we get is a functional bad-guys chase good guys to a small town where the local folk step up affair, where the novelty comes from the scenic town that's prone to wildfires & weather playing antagonism. not bad, but nothing new. with the scenic town, i can't help but think it could have been used for a story that used the scenery & the weather problem in a more integral and novel way and the blooming "what ifs" after... read more

My quick rating - 6;4/10. Ok; before you hit the reviews and see people whining about Jolie being "too skinny to be taken seriously as a firefighter" I have a problem with that. First off; believing Jolie as a firefighter is NOT necessary; it is established in the first 5 minutes she WAS a firefighter and now sits in a tower watching for smoke and sharing survival knowledge.
