hoop-tober 2.0: film 31 *********************************************************************** i was under the impression that the remake was much better than this film. i was under the impression that this was a lame god-awful slasher cheapie from canada. i was wrong. i hated this as a kid but there is actually lots to like. sure it's not great, and i wouldn't really recommend it to the general public but it's got enough for a horror buff to find some merit in it. i didn't think the pacing started off good and it was rather slow and boring but it picked up in the last half hour and was read more

i discovered this movie because of letterboxd. i'll be honest. before letterboxd i only occasionally even watched movies. there was just a long stretch of time between renting tapes and the death of video rental places during my childhood, and then my financial independence and the rise of online shopping. even so, the horror section mostly existed as a place that both intrigued and scared me. either way, around the early 2000s i just didn't really know how to even get exploitation movies over here in mainland europe, so i chose to spend most of my time on other hobbies. flash forward to read more
