so hey everyone knows tarantino is a hack and ripped off a buncha lesser known movies he saw while working at a video store, right? may i present to you: the script for true romance. for the longest time during this i kept thinking to myself "yo, goober, where's the horror?", and the tone does grow darker during the 2nd act but not more so than say taxi driver or christine (even though that one had at least a supernatural element to it). honestly the entire thing just turns into a downer and in retrospect i wish it had remained more character-driven and not sacrificed basically every read more
