This film immediately follows on from 1953's "The Robe" with the character of Demetrius who was Marcellus' ally in the first film. in this one The Robe is being sought out by the emperor Caligula while Demetrius ends up in the Gladiatorial Arena. Victor Mature is good again in the title role and it was interesting to follow on from the first movies events. Recommended especially for fans of "The Robe" read more
