Not nearly as good as the first one.

Review of Iron Monkey 2

Don't ask me how two different movies with close to no connection and completely different titles ended up being a part of the same series. I don't know and you know what? I do not want to know. Seriously, who cares?

What's important here is that... this one is not nearly as good as the original Iron Monkey (少年黃飛鴻之鐵馬騮). Sure, Donnie Yen is still here and the movie sure has its moments (as long as you enjoy this kind of stuff, of course), but all in all, it's painfully shallow, straightforward and you can tell exactly what'll happen next. Also, it's not nearly as touching as the first one. Can't say I cared about characters much either.

So... yeah. While the first one was released on Blu-ray, this one is pretty hard to get even on DVD. The only version I was able to get is the dubbed one. And you can easily see why. It's just... doesn't really worth your time.
