Add your review It wasn't a bad movie at all, but as far as masks were concerned, it was pretty weak enough. On the other hand, it had an interesting story with a good resolution of the whole film, but except for the good story and the good resolution, there was not much to jump out of the skin, and also enough traps. film #6 of hooptober 4.0: revenge of the hoop john carpenter's directorial efforts are rightly celebrated in the genre, but the ward is just an example of how far he's fallen over the years. carpenter, who's last good film was almost twenty years ago at this rate, wastes a stellar cast of actresses on a script that blatently rips off another psychological thriller and slaps on a coat of girl, interrupted's 1960s asylum setting just to ennhace the lack of originality. there's nothing inherently bad about playing homage to other films, revisiting their concepts or even using similar settings.... read
