norwegian found footage. on paper, an interesting mix of found footage horror, documentary, folklore, and government bureaucracy/conspiracy. somehow the less of its parts. the long stretches of the latter 2 drain the tension while staying dry enough to not add much in themselves; the attempt at a scientific explanation from a veterinarian, for example, is just thrown in. the horror parts take place, due to the constraints of troll existence, at night. there is a lot of shaky cam in the darkness of the forest, which is hard to make fresh and interesting; it's spiced up with night vision and... read more
