this was a hell of a splatterfest. it delivers in spades what it promises on the poster. vfw is also sporting an accomplished retro aesthetic that feels authentic and just right™, never distracting from the film or even adding too much to it. the cast of old school badasses is a delight to watch, like one big, gory, last hurrah. i loved it. read
so there's this horrible drug called hypo and it's ruining countless lives. america is literally in shambles because of this drug and all the addicts are trying to murder our fun old dudes that are just trying to hang out at their bar. why would anyone want to harm these innocent vietnam vets? well because they basically came into possession of $500k worth of hypo... not exactly gripping but in the end all the baddies are dead and just a couple of the veterans are left standing.. so what do they do?? they decide to sell the drugs to make some money and fix up their bar. that just made me die... read
