unnecessarily convoluted romcom of unresolved regrets, thieving bridesmaids and uncertain grooms. the ending was a bummer, given that the bff was the only dishonourable man of decent character. hudson was irritating as usual, so stay away from this one unless you're a fan. read more

this movie is labeled by most as a romantic comedy, but i disagree. romantic comedies involve a relationship at the core of their plot, and this doesn't; it involves a wedding. not that there isn't a relationship surrounding that wedding, but this movie is about as romantic as 2009's repugnant bride wars -- a movie which, sadly, also starred kate hudson. those two films share more than just an actress who hasn't been able to find a single good script in the past eleven years though; these are films that are designed to appeal to the female demographic, but then don't know how to write women... read more
