definitely an improvement over manborg. these guys just need to practice a little restraint and it'll do wonders. the writing and cinematography is like bill & ted face the music level, meaning it just exists to hit certain beats and whatever happens inbetween is a little whatever. mileage will vary on your desire to be reminded of older, better movies. but i will say it hits a lot of beats. like the hit ratio of either a good joke or gore gag is high. favorite one is just straight up the pick up bart bit from the simpsons. also you get a rap over the end credits, and mister psycho goreman... read

b movies that know what they are and 80s practical effects are my jam. i thought id seen all the good ones, until this. the story is simple, “bad man comes to earth”, which leaves room for so much comedy (physical, black, deadpan, hyper violence, and silly) and intentional over acting. the costume design is incredible, like original power rangers level latex suits. theres even a few puppets. the intentionally bad special effects are superb. they make the flashback scenes a joy to watch. the only time i took my eyes off this was to wipe off the tears i made while laughing too hard. this film... read

in what seems like a perfect riff on every single "innocent kid(s) find dangerous sci-fi/fantasy object" movie i watched growing up, psycho goreman amazingly manages to (violently) carve out its own distinct place amongst its genre ilk. awash in hellraiser levels of gore, and consistently hilarious to boot- psycho goreman never lets up. it's an endlessly creative movie that is as genuinely funny as it is wildly imaginative. this is exactly the movie i needed right now. one of a precious few in recent memory that i've been so glued to, that i never paused it or reached for my phone. i've seen... read
