Expected the excellent performance from Kristen Stewart but I did not expect the jazzy music or how much I'd love it. The cinematography was beautiful as well, the hazy look and being shot on film were great choices for this movie. I think the story itself left maybe just a bit to be desired, we kind of skip over some of the few interactions she actually has with the family but it's understandable given the focus is supposed to be on her and that might have taken away from it. read more

Not sure this will do so well with a wider audience as it has with the festival crowd, that being said it will definitely find it's audience. I don't think people who go in expecting a conventional biopic will enjoy it (I know this because I saw it with my friends who were under this impression). Then again it's hard to market this as the surreal nightmare it is when it's about someone like Diana. Glad to be on this side of the coin this time around though as Shirley tried to do a similar thing and didn't really click with me at all. read more
