oslo, august 31st, which i will only refer to as "the film" or "it" for the rest of this review because the title sucks, is a low-fi personal drama about one person's struggles. i feel like your enjoyment (if you can call it that with a film this depressing) of it will mostly depend on how much you relate to the personal struggles of anders. i found his problems fairly relatable and as such this was quite the emotional wrecking ball for me. it's a fairly unusual drug drama in the sense that it doesn't have an expansive cast or the flashy cinematography that many of the big drug films tend to... read more
