maybe it's because i just watched a movie that could barely keep my attention, or maybe it's because my expectations of this were kept low based on just about every other review on letterboxd, but i thought this was thoroughly entertaining and a brisk watch at 76 minutes. a sister street fighter movie in name only, not even a tiny bit connected to the previous ones, nor sharing the same director what with ozawa of the sonny chiba street fighter movies stepping in for yamaguchi, and shihomi playing a completely different character; though one that's very much like koryu lee in spirit. actually for not being a mainline sister street fighter movie this might be the first one where the main characters are sisters, and they do a pretty good job building some grounded stakes off of that, more so than the other ones come to think of it.
