wow. i went into this film a completely blank slate. i had read the imdb synopsis "a documentary centered on a young frenchman who convinces a grieving texas family that he is their 16-year-old son who went missing for 3 years.", but didn't really take it in so i had no idea i was seeing a true documentary. after seeing the film i had to check that what i'd seen really had happened. i'm amazed that such a chain of events could take place. brilliantly the film has left me in doubt as to what the true story is. are the family complicit or did they just want the boy back so much they believed... read more
