Flight

i actually got quite involved watching this. when he finds the mini bar in the other room and is tempted to drink the vodka i found myself thinking "don't do it man, don't do it.". i can't remember the last time this happened. that he eventually drank that vodka, and then some, is irrelevant. for those few seconds i was willing him not to drink it. the soundtrack. i can see what people mean when they complain about it. i didn't get too distracted but there was a couple of times where it did start to pull you out of the film. read more

excelled by great performances and a harrowing plane crash flight moves at a brisk pace and keeps you entertained. washington plays a drunk convincingly and even though i'm no big fan he won me over in this role. the film works because you ant washington to both get whats coming to him and to get off the hook as he did save all those people, doesn't come off as a bad guy and tries many times to get off the juice. but at the same time he's a bit of a dick, a drunk and a liar. this is all great, and his relationship with nicole is sweet and heartwarming and you want it to succeed. but then when... read more
