director's comments rewatch. this is such a love-it-or-hate-it movie and so much about style and sound that i was particularly curious what harmony korine would say. he said a lot, actually, about every aspect of the movie, from the technical, to how certain scenes were shaped, to what was off-script, improvised to what degree and who contributed to the on-screen result, to what inspired him or others to include a certain something, and he also explained scenes, plot developments (such as they are), and stylistic choices. and yes, there is a lot of "i've been meaning to have this detail in... read more
