Death Laid an Egg

a bizarre, diverting film replete with some very disquieting music. theres a neat, if formulaic, story of betrayal here which hardly really matters, since whats happening on the surface is always much more interesting in this visually pleasing, aesthetically wonderful film. in fact, it is the plot-heavy final 15 minutes that i found most uninteresting in the film, which is one of the reasons i refuse to call this experimental work a giallo. this is really more of an art film masquerading as an exploitation film (my favorite kind), though im more fascinated by it than in love with it. i read more
