These films get better with each instalment. That is not to say that Before Midnight is better than the others, but more that the whole which these three films contribute to is so much greater than the sum of it's parts, exponentially more beautiful every nine years. These films are rare. Treasure them. Seek them out. Don't ignore them. I hope to see another in nine years time. read more

there is something unusual about this film that separates it from the first two, and a bit from richard linklater's other films. compared to the other films in the trilogy, this one is the least idealistic and dreamy (sunrise already had some of that, but here the weight of reality is even more evident), and visually, it's totally different from the other films by its director that i've seen (three, but it still counts). and it's also the one that is the least likely to serve as a tourist video of the place where it's set xd. going back to what i was saying at the beginning, this is the movie... read more
