Muppets Most Wanted

the 2011 muppet movie reinvigorated a long-dormant franchise and invested it with all the charm and heart that we remembered from the brand's glory days. it was a wonderful underdog story with a simple but enjoyable plot, fun cameos and more. the inevitable sequel, muppets most wanted, tries very hard but just doesn't have the same magic. all the elements are there--the talent, the songs and even the humor--but it doesn't all coalesce in the same way. much of the problem can be laid at the feet of nicholas stoller and james bobin's script. it's ambitious and there are moments that really read more
