ever since i read the book in my women & gender studies class, ive been meaning to watch the movie version of it, but i was put off because my professor explained how oversexualized it was and that abdelatif kechiche didnt understand what julie maroh was trying to say with her book. and he (my professor) was right. i found myself exhausted and fatigued while watching this film. the unnecessary long conversations, long classroom scenes and the extremely long sex scenes were unbearable. the sex were more pornographic than beautiful. it lack the passion that it had in novel. it was as if the read more

holy mother of god, what an utterly spellbinding performance! i'm completely blown away. that actress (adèle exarchopoulos) communicates so much with a look, a glance, a flick of her hair. i felt like i was experiencing those emotions with her. a tale of true love and fearless expression, before life and experience teaches one to be more guarded and careful. chapeau, adèle. read more
