Review of Is the Man Who Is Tall Happy?

Overall Rating
after watching his entire oeuvre of michel gondry and liking everything he did, i couldn't be more excited for is the man who is tall happy? a documentary on noam chomsky. his other docs, especially the thorn in the heart, were fantastic. now that i've finished this film i can say that it was a very sad way to end the films of gondry. could a documentary be any more boring? this is like a ten minute short film stretched out to an hour and half. i honestly couldn't tell you what it is about or what happened as i couldn't pay attention. so boring. so so boring. really, this is not my cup of tea. maybe people who like chomsky might find this interesting but otherwise i say stay far away from this film. it's a waste of 90 minutes and it's almost impossible to stay awake through. production design: 7 out of 10 cinematography: 7 out of 10 re-playability: 1 out of 10 originality: 7 out of 10 costumes: 7 out of 10 directing: 5 out of 10 editing: 7 out of 10 acting: 6 out of 10 music: 5 out of 10 script: 5 out of 10 57/100
