it's a cool trip, i guess, but beyond that this film has nothing to offer. seriously, when a 90 minute film feels too long something is absolutely fucking wrong with it. really wants to be aguirre but really isn't. obtuse, pretentious, tedious, and devoid of story to the point of being entirely meaningless. despite me absolutely anti-loving this, i have to admit one thing though: the title is very accurate; that was definitely a field in england. well, at least it's another entry for my list i guess. read more

My quick rating - 5;4/10. Giving this movie stellar ratings is like loving a supermodel for her beauty. Yes; aesthetics is NOT everything. This movie is all about style; and visuals. Wonderfully shot trippy scenes of soldiers from the English civil war going insane. Really a masterclass in cinematography. Constant weird scene leading into weird scene just building you up for that finish dot dot dot. It never comes. You wait for the whole film watching as your eyes are loving it and then it ends and your brain has to remind you; nothing happened. I can see people will debate it may have been... read more
