what a year for lord and miller. along with the lego movie, 22 jump street has cemented them as the best in the business for action comedy hybrids. no one expected 21 jump street to be as god as it was and it's a pleasant surprise (not such a surprise based on their track record actually) that 22 jump street is just as good. just as funny, just as smart, just as action packed, this sequel is just as good as it's predecessor. sure it lacks the originality of the first (it is a sequel after all) but for what it lacks in that it makes up in meta humour and class a comedy. this is my second read more

i was optimistic about 22 jump street considering how surprisingly good the first one was, but i didn't at all expect it to be this good of a comedy. phil lord and christopher miller delivered a winner early in the year with the lego movie and they do it again with this one, an often-hilarious buddy cop film that doesn't hide the fact that it's delivering much the same plot as the first film. in fact, it makes meta references to it several times in ways that are in-your-face yet very funny at the same time. while the story is in fact basically the same, they subvert portions of it nicely. the... read more

The boys are back again and this I enjoyed just as much as the first,usually its hard to create the same winning formula but I think its been done right here.The movie has lots of cameos as the first one did.Both Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum are great and the end credits are an absolute blast.4 stars from me read more
