Faults

i expected more of a cult/deprogramming movie, but there is very little of this compared to the particularities of the characters. terrific work from everyone, yet the developments feel rushed, just that bit insubstantial. i also thought things were written in too large of a font, the pacing not allowing room for some nuance, so it all came off as too obvious. until the last part, which was a complete surprise and still made perfect sense. that being said, i thought it clever, but too sensationalistic to be satisfying. maybe it's just because of my expectations. read more
