infinitely polar bear is such a deeply personal and intensely intimate portrait of a family living with someone struggling with a mental illness that it prevails because of the passion and the drive behind the film. maya forbes, the director, falters in a few places but, overall, is able to deliver in creating a film in which all the characters are looked upon with the utmost compassion and understanding while the film explores the complexities and intricacies of the problems that mental illness can create within a family. this film tells the story of cameron, a man who was forced to leave... read more

This one about a manic depressive father who tries to win back his wife by taking care of their two daughters is very well done.There is not a bad performance in the movie especially Mark Ruffalo as the father.It looked like a well researched role and he seemed to pull it off superbly.Also good is Zoe Saldana as his long suffering wife and the two girls in the film were also good in their roles.A nice drama with a good story and good performances. read more
