film 29 of obligatory october of horror ii jumpscare counter: 10, most of them being lazy fakeout scares set up in the same lazy "30 seconds of nothing happening followed by loud noise" way. in this case, because it's found footage, the loud noise is usually the protagonist screaming at something that otherwise wouldn't have startled you which just makes the scares feel even less earned. that's part one of the shitty modern horror trifecta. part 2 and 3 are also featured quite strongly. shitty characters who act in completely unreasonable ways and ignore red flags to move the plot to scarier... read more
