A middle of the road movie for me.The recreation of the time period of the 1980's New York is well done.The movie centres on a boy (Asa Butterfield) coming to live with his father in New York after a tragic event and his relationship with said father (Ethan Hake) also his friendship with Eliza (Hailee Steinfeld) and to a lesser degree punk rocker Johnny (Emile Hirsch).It's a slow moving drama but all actors were very good in their roles just not a lot happening,its more of a movie with lots of dialogue and character driven.Worth a look though. read more
