here's the thing, i love watching movies about good people. they are so heartwarming and just good pick-me-ups. this is definitely one of those movies, but i feel like it went even deeper than that. i was worried going into it that it was going to be a super feminist movie where the successful business woman does whatever it takes and leaves everything else behind, trying to promote the message that not even family is as important as your professional life. i was pleasantly surprised as i watched it deal with all of those things in what i think was a very mature and refreshing way. it did not... read more

A retired widower starts working as an intern for a recently established e-commerce startup and proves himself useful beyond mere business. Typically genial Nancy Meyers comedy sticks to homework on story department - you'll see any plot twist a mile ahead. Characters, however, are sensibly fleshed out, and De Niro and Hathaway play them so sympathetically that "The Intern" turns out to be warmer, funnier and more moving than you could reasonably expect. read more
