mildly disappointing sequel to a promising start. the factions are not fleshed out too well, and presume prior knowledge. the virtual herculean tasks seem a little too removed, and the sought "message" a bit of a downer. aside from the opening sequence they left out the best bit about being "dauntless": train-hopping! read more

absolute shit from start to finish. i like shailene woodley but her expressions in this range from 'can you smell shit?' to 'i think someone has shit in my cereal'. the biggest problem i had is that at no point do i feel this character is capable of anything beyond whining. i was under the impression she's meant to be a shining example of being intelligent and strong in the face of diversity. where's the evidence of that? this whole society that's been set up is bullshit too. i just don't get it. i'm annoyed i saw this at the cinema on my day off. i should have known better when the last one... read more
