Review of Asian School Girls

i bought this movie for five bucks at comic con in san diego a few years ago. it was at the asylum booth and if you know anything about asylum you know they don't make good movies. i figured this was an asian film that asylum bought and released. i figured it would be ultra violent and filled with titillation. i just watched it and i was wrong. this is an actual asylum production and is pretty much an american version of a perverted sub genre of asian films. and they do a pretty decent job of making one, granted the asian ones aren't very good either. in typical asylum fashion the effects, the sets, the locations, the editing, the music, the acting, the directing, almost the whole thing is badly done and on the very cheap. eye rolling bad at times. but if you go in expecting it (and you do with both asylum and the pervy asian films) it comes off as not that bad. and to be honest i had a ball with this film. it wasn't good, and i can't recommend it to 99% of people i know but the 1% and i will and would and has enjoyed this. why? well you go in wanting rape and violence and revenge and sex and nudity and could really care less about much else and with that movie you get all of that in spades. spoiler alert---spoiler alert---spoiler alert---spoiler alert--- spoiler alert---spoiler alert---spoiler alert---spoiler alert--- spoiler alert---spoiler alert---spoiler alert---spoiler alert this movie starts with underage asian school girls going to a bar with fake id and getting picked up by two men who take them to an after party. instead, they are drugged (all but one who didn't drink) and raped and left on the side of the road. it's dark, twisted, graphic and sets the tone. they want revenge but they need weapons, training and money to get it so what do they do? they become strippers and then two (of three) of the girls proceed to strip for ten minutes and then for five minutes train as fighters while we get intercutting of more stripping. awesome! this film is delivering. then they go on a revenge rampage where they kill and mutilate the men and penises that raped them. then they get kidnapped and are held in a dungeon in panties and bras and to escape one girl sits on a mans face with no panties and then breaks his neck. when caught her punishment is to have her va-gee-jay sown up and while this happens the remaining two girls turn to lesbianism as a coping mechanism. this movie pretty much had everything you'd want in a movie called asian school girls. and to make things better than the asian films themselves, it's in english so you don't have to read subtitles and miss some of the action and ass on screen. the ending was pretty bad, and the pre credits finale scene was even worse but hey, you don't come to asian school girls for quality writing. i will say though that the script was actually pretty well written with somewhat developed characters, some very good dialogue and a somewhat sensible and believable plot that with a little more money and a lot more talent behind (and in front) of the camera could of made an actual good film. yeah, i enjoyed the hell out of this bad bad film. 99% of you will not and if you are wondering if you are the 1% or the 99% all i can say is this. if the title doesn't get you immediately then you are the 99%. the 1%, you know who you are. production design: 3 out of 10 cinematography: 6 out of 10 re-playability: 6 out of 10 originality: 2 out of 10 costumes: 7 out of 10 directing: 5 out of 10 editing: 5 out of 10 acting: 5 out of 10 music: 4 out of 10 script: 6 out of 10 49/100
