the mummy is almost worthwhile. it's got action, thrills, great sets, comedy, stunts, an amazing car crash, zombie mummy things, sandstorms, all the things you would want in a mummy film and it all works pretty well. and it's got tom cruise who isn't what is wrong with this film even though you might of heard so. he's fine, if a little bland character wise. it's not his best performance but cruise has charisma and it works in this film. what doesn't is the badly written script (example: a military commander orders an evacuation as enemies are closing in and literally a minute later they are... read more

decepcionante. nem minha falta de expectativa para o filme conseguiu deixá-lo mais envolvente, o resultado foi bem aquém da proposta sugerida desse novo universo cinematográfico da universal. as atuações são rasas, superficiais e extremamente forçadas, tornando a narrativa mecânica e insossa. a tentativa de usar humor para equilibrar o tom obscuro do filme acaba falhando por ser infantil demais em suas piadas fracas. há momentos bons como as sequências do avião e da tempestade de areia, que mostram a qualidade dos efeitos visuais. infelizmente essas poucas cenas de ação não são suficientes... read more
