anchored by strong performances from michael shannon and andrew garfield, 99 homes for the majority of its run time holds together as a tight, tense, and gripping tale set against a economic and social situation that is very close to the world that we are familiar with and have had to deal with in the recent past. the film moves along with an uncontrollable energy derived from its sharp direction and justified anger at the situation that some of these characters find themselves in. halfway through this film, 99 homes is on its way to being an effective and taut tragedy that is powerful and... read more
