the most meta of meta slashers, and lopsided on the side of comedy. not that this is a bad thing as it's pretty funny, has some good visual gags, and the cast is on point. it could have wallowed too much in 80s nostalgia or parody, but it actually doesn't; it's a tribute to 80s slashers and that's it, so points for that. the super bright and colorful visuals are a treat. the kills are very boring though, and this brings me to the pg-13 issue. i don't normally mind a lack of nudity and gore, but the extra audience that this rating would bring is one not all that likely to be familiar with 80s... read more

film 40 of obligatory october of horror loving and intentionally campy (pun most definitely intended) deconstruction/parody of 80s slasher flicks. maybe it's just the contrast to having watched 3 parts of the scary movie franchise and the dreadful stan helsing recently but this is genuinely really funny. and the serious emotional parts are actually kind of moving. the convenient thing about making a parody of bad films is that any mistakes or flaws just seem like they're part of the parody. this certainly isn't perfect, maybe it isn't even great, but it's a very enjoyable movie. read more

My quick rating - 3;4/10. A very poor mans attempt at something like "La Femme Nikita". No rhyme or reason in this movie about why she was trained. Nor a reason to why she purposely ends up in a town where 4 high school guys happen to hunt girls from school for sport; or how in the hell thy have killled 20 some chicks in the same small town and got away with it. Heck; now that I think further about this movie; I am changing my rating down; there is just way too much wrong with this movie to even include a 4. Just avoid it; the tough girl is not tough at all; the kills are stupid. THe plot read more

A pretty good horror/comedy film here. The idea is certainly original in this genre anyway and it was all really well done. The actors in both (movie in a movie) were good led by Malin Akerman. It was quite funny in parts also and as this was an ode to 80's slasher movies I think they pulled it off pretty well. read more

There were so many notable actors in this. It was a heck of a lot better that a lot of the horror comedies I've seen. I cared about the characters genuinely and I got a few little laughs. For pg-13 this was definitely edgy as it included the f word and "shit" as well as "bitch" and was slightly sexual in terms of dialog I personally didn't mind but I was expecting a more childish pg13 movie so that's what threw me off. It was great for what it was I just wouldn't show this to certain kids. read more
