quick hit: travis zariwny's remake of eli roth's cabin fever has the rare distinction of having even less likable and less intelligent characters than its predecessor. shot from a lightly edited version of the original's shooting script, it took only about ten minutes (give or take a familiar accidental near-shooting death via automatic rifle) for me to fervently wish for the death of nearly the entire cast. the dialogue is as bad or worse than the original and although the acting is marginally better, no one in the cast is able to do much with the terrible material they're given. the... read more
