45 years into a happy marriage, a loving couple's relationship is deeply shaken when the body of the husband's previous girlfriend, who had died in a mountain accident half a century earlier, is unexpectedly found. Based on David Constantine's short story "In Another Country", adapted for the screen by director Haigh, an actionless drama where everything goes on within the protagonists' hearts and minds only: jealousy has no expiring date, love always needs to be tended and regret can prove as dangerous an enemy as guilt. read more

A nice British movie well acted by the two main roles in Charlotte Rampling and Tom Courtenay. Beautifully filmed around Norfolk in the North East of the UK. This just shows how a single event can effect a long marriage. Charlotte probably wont win Best Actress as she is nominated but the British Awards might be more favourable. A movie that all ages will like, not just the oldies. read more
