1. 종교는 이중적인 자들의 헤로인이다. 2. 변호사는 자신의 양심마저 (어쩔 수 없을 때든 본인이 좋아서 한거든) 팔아야 할 때가 많다. 3. 다들 운이 좋았다. 그렇지 않았으면 기자 생활은 커녕 일상생활도 제대로 못할 뻔 했겠지. 이런 건 나와 내 주변인 상당수도 마찬가지다. 4. 내가 줄곧 당연히 믿어왔던 어떤 것(아니면 사람)의 썩어 문드러지다 못해 속까지 썩히기 직전인 부분을 정면으로 마주쳐야 할 때의 두려움과 고통. 이럴 땐 그저 물 한 잔 마시고 최대한 이성적으로 생각할 수 밖에 없다. 부정한다고 다시 썩지 않았던 모습으로 돌아가진 않으니까. 5. "도긴개긴 알아요? 아니면 뭐 묻은 개가 겨 묻은 개 나무란다는 말은 알고? 그러니까, 딱 우리가 그런 상황이란거죠." 6. 소수드립으로 위기를 빠져나가는 건 적당히 하자. 자꾸 그런 식으로 넘어가다가 '잘못된 소수'가 '당연한 다수'가 되버리는 수가 있다. spotlight is a great movie by a great director (the cobbler not withstanding) that really knows how to work with actors, dialogue and character driven pieces. spotlight is a sure fire contender for best picture of the year. will it win the oscar? (the awards are tonight.) it might. i don't think it will get many awards but traditionally, one picture cleans up and then the best picture goes to someone who hasn't one anything vis a vis this movie. spotlight is amazingly acted and scripted and has a solid editing throughout. with all these pieces fitting seamlessly together the film becomes a... read more
