Είτε είσαι είτε δεν είσαι fan των nirvana δεν έχει σημασία καθώς το ντοκιμαντέρ έχει να κάνει με τον cobain σαν άνθρωπο. Ο brett morgen και η ομάδα του δημιούργησαν ίσως ένα από τα καλύτερα ντοκιμαντέρ που έχουν γίνει χρησιμοποιώντας εξαιρετικά το υλικό που είχαν στην κατοχή τους (συνεντεύξεις, super 8mm προσωπικές ταινίες, υλικό απο συναυλίες, ηχητικά ντοκουμέντα και έγγραφα του kurt) και τα απέδωσαν με τον καλύτερο δυνατό τρόπο που θα μπορούσε να κάνει κανείς. Είχα την τύχη να δω την μία και μοναδική προβολή στο πανί (από όσο ξέρω) στο θερινό κινηματογράφο στον Φλοίσβο.... read more

cobain: montage of heck depicts the life of kurt cobain in a unexpected but highly compelling way that creates a disturbing, depressing but, ultimately, compelling portrait of the tortured artist. in the end, i found the film to be moving both emotionally and intellectually. brett morgen finds a satisfying way to deal with the complexity of putting together a portrait of the life of a man like kurt cobain. the pieces of his life that are represented in this film don't present a nice neat package that clearly answers the questions lingering about cobain nor does the picture it paints always... read more

with kurt cobain: montage of heck, documentarian brett morgan delivers one of the most personal and intimate looks at a rock icon ever committed to camera. using a wealth of previously-unseen material from cobains writings and recordings, morgan cuts straight through the myths and reveals the much more complex and interesting man underneath. cobain changed the face of rock music for better or for worse, and morgan helps us understand who he was in a way that few others would be able to do. highly recommended for fans and non-fans alike, montage of heck is an instant classic among rock read more
