dc and wbhv continue to up their game for the new 52 era of the dc animated universe with batman vs. robin. building off the events in son of batman, this loose adaptation of the "court of owls" storyline does a surprisingly effective job of streamlining the complex crossover narrative down to enough for one single animated film. i was a bit worried when jay oliva returned to the helm for a dc animated universe film, as i didn't think highly of his justice league: war adaptation. he's in fine form here though, working off a very solid script from j. m. dematteis. the characterizations are read more
