john wick is not what i was expecting it to be when i went into it. originally i was under the assumption john wick was something in the same vein as a movie like taken. i was so wrong. in every fight especially the hand to hand combat ones you get this feeling like you're really on the edge of seat. sometimes i was just outright laughing at how much ass this guy kicks. i sympathize with him but i at the same time can't relate to the extremely cold feeling that this universe has. it's truly something. fantastic performance by keanu reeves. can't wait for john wick 3. read more

john wick: chapter 2 sees the return of the retired hitman (keanu reeves) once again. forced to get started by a former colleague (riccardo scamarcio). nobody knew what to expect from the first john wick, it turned out to be a remarkable action spectacle. the assassin world that was created was therefore ripe for expansion. it is essentially an extension of the first film. it is two more hours of the same extremely well choreographed and shot action scenes and interesting enough filler that you don't get bored between the action. the plot barely makes sense and keanu still has trouble acting when he is asked to deliver lines that are more emotive than an grunt, but it doesn't matter because the action is so great. however, it falls victim to the same issue that hurt deadpool 2 (which was also directed by one of the original john wick directors), what made the first film so fun was how innovative and different it... read more

it's like the first one but a bit better. john is still a superhuman non-character but at least he has generic action hero backstory number 11 to back him up. turn your brain off, watch people be violenced up. no need to think, no need to analyse anything, just kill two hours with some action. that's what john wick is all about, i guess. read more

I do love the idea of a worldwide hit man network, but I would have preferred if it was in a sneaky way and not the John Wick go in guns blazing way. I do prefer this one over the first JW. read more
