sometimes you see great movies, and then there are times you see movies that remind you why this medium should exist. enter the void is one of those. the movie starts through the perspective of the main character going through a drug trip and then the whole movie evolves to a psychedelic trip for the viewer. after a drug deal goes wrong, oscar dies and his soul leaves his body to search for another plane of existence or reincarnation. for the next 2hour + duration we get to see the tragic life of a pair of siblings. intermittent flash backs which are supposed be oscar's soul reliving the past... read more

The opening credits alone are enough to drive you mad. Luckily, mad is my middle name. The camera is one of the most elegant and poetic I ever saw and the very unconventional style makes it a worthwhile watch alone. Substantially there is much to be desired. I never believed in the distancing of the soul, eventually surviving the individual, which is why the film started to become tedious after half an hour, eventually losing my interest. read more
