out of all the episodes of masters of horror i was looking forward to this one the most. for one, it's one of the few episodes where i remember (somewhat) the story and for another, john mutha fuckin' carpenter directed this. my all time greatest horror director and up there as one of my all time best directors ever. so does this film come close to the dozen almost to straight up masterpieces he has made? no, not really, it does after all come from his 'lesser period' if you will. it's still pretty good with a cool little story that is somewhat reminiscent of the underrated in the mouth of... read

pretty good but i'm hard-pressed to see much of carpenter in this. it's serviceably shot but the script gives it the edge, and he didn't write it. read

My quick rating - 7;4/10. Ok; so as I start this collection; let's be honest; they are all going to be very good; my guess; all in the 7 range. being bad will be mid 6 LOL.
