if a cross between 127 hours and castaway and jaws sounds like a good idea than the shallows is a movie for you. i think it sounds like a great idea although going into the movie i wasn't expecting exactly that. but it is what i got and man did i have a good time. from the director of 3 liam neeson action flicks and the underrated house of wax remake we get a short, exciting and tense horror thriller that starts with a bang and never lets up. the cinematography here is just stunning and i'm going out on a limb and saying it is the best i've seen this year. this is no oscar movie but in read more

to be honest.... this turned out to be much better than i had expected in the first place. the film is a solid human vs nature thriller with nice fxs and a definitely good looking blake lively in a surfer outfit (bikini and stuff..). a nice one to pass some time without recognizing it per se 😁👍 read more

This film about a surfer being terrorised by a shark is quite topical at the moment due to shark attacks happening off our waters in Australia and it was filmed off the QLD coast doubling for Mexico. Its quite thrilling in parts but other parts were quite silly and/or unbelievable but its a decent 90 min movie to watch. Blake Lively doesn't have to do much and the shark does look a bit more realistic than in previous films of this genre. read more
