Amazing. Undoubtedly one of the best movies I've ever seen visually and cinematically. Surreal stuff; just pure Cyberpunk magic that became the inspiration for so much media to follow it. The dense yet freeing settings, float-like traversal, and just absolute scale of the city-scape all make for one of the prettiest worlds film has made. K's story, isolated from the rest of the plot, is excellent. A perfect, tonally sound depiction of "the bullshit of fate." I love it. Holy shit, I enjoyed this movie WAY more than the original, and I'm sure that's an unpopular opinion. But the plot, the characters, the acting, the sets and the lighting was all vastly improved, in my opinion. It was just really well made and the twist of him not ACTUALLY being Harrison Ford's son had me SHOOK. I fucking loved it.  Ryan Gosling was beautiful as always. A thing of beauty. While the story isn't entirely easy to follow at the start, and I felt a little dragging in the middle, the last 60 or so minutes more than make up for it. I'm not quite sure what it is about this movie but I love it. Visually, sonically it's just so engaging all the way through - I'm very grateful that the obvious route (Replicant uprising) was not the one they took, they instead chose to do a more personal, character driven story in spirit of the original. I dunno man, I just think this movie is very cool. One day I'd love to see more within this universe, maybe the aforementioned replicant revolution.
