one of the biggest bores of the year. mark whalberg and lauren cohen are the only actors that play poor excuses of characters. mark whalberg gets angry sometimes and lauren cohan is going through a divorce... that's it. everyone else is a blank red-shirt, each lacking more depth than the last, making the death scenes so laughable. no reason to care about anyone. there is no plot. there's only lots of disjointed scenes with guns and explosions. a stereotypical blockbuster. all i can remember is that there's an asian guy with a code, and mark whalberg needs the code, but the asian guy doesn't... read more

there is a scene in peter berg and mark wahlberg's last collaboration, patriot's day, where a secretive sect of the government walk into an interrogation room, do their thing and leave. everyone is in the dark and no one knows who these people are. they never come up again. that scene i believe is something real that happened. i believe berg and wahlberg extrapolated this movie from that scene. 'wouldn't that make a great movie. about those guys.' and so they made this and no, a great movie it did not make. another than the exciting action scenes this was pretty pretty pretty bad. first there... read more
