must be, geez, 20 years since i last saw this? hard to explain why i dug this as a kid, i mean don't get me wrong it's very nicely shot and the direction is super tight as well; but something about this doesn't strike me as a movie that would tickle my 12-year old fancy. it's just another super sober walter hill western, with a bunch of hard-asses blowing holes into each other. ah, but eddie murphy. yep, there we go, put a comedian in it and i would've watched a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g. read more

third entry into the buddy cop™ marathon with my little brothers, who've never seen any of these before. some of their remarks while watching: "hey that's the same guy from the other movie we just watched earlier with the cops, where-" *i re-explain the concept that eddie murphy is a human being who is an actor and plays in different movies.* "oh yeah. okay."
